Skateboarders

Painting: Enamel, Spray painting and epoxy resin on wood with toyboarder skaters toys collaged onto wood. Ships in box, signed by artist on the back. I have always loved the little green toy soldiers and always wanted to create art using them, however I am not a fan of the metaphor of war in my art. Recently, I was surfing on instagram and discovered Toyboarders who create little toy skateboarders. I immediately contacted them to order supplies for this painting. First of all, I glued the skaters into position (in various sessions), then I used epoxy resin and enamel paint to envelop the toyboarders. The paint was dripped in an abstract fashion using a stick. There are about 600 toyboarders in this painting.
