Nelson Mandela

Nelson Mandela is a huge inspiration to me. His philosophy resonates with my personal values and his wisdom, strength, perseverance, optimism and courage can be a role model all. This painting was made by dripping enamel paint onto a flat canvas. The process requires a lot of trust and patience as the earlier stages of the creation are disorientating and scary. However, through perseverance and commitment a portrait evolves built by layers of spaghetti-like matrices of enamel paint. This painting is varnished, signed on the back and stretched on a wooden chassis.
