Rose Marie Abstracts

The paintings are the celebrations, meditations and explorations of Color and Light. One layer of oil color is applied at a time until the repetition of this movement gives a multifaceted depth to the painting. The result of the image contains a dichotomy of fluidity and broken gaps in the flow, rendering an unpredictable surface and surprising nuances. Evoking the imagination of the viewer the shapes inside the painting sometimes echoing landscapes or figures emerging from the abstraction.
