Ron Fortier

Ron Fortier is an American Abstract Painter living and working on the Silver Coast of mainland Portugal. He always knew he would be an artist when he grew up. He was born in New Bedford, MA, and spent his childhood in New York City, NY and later returned to the New Bedford area. Following high school, Ron took a course at the prestigious School of the Museum of Fine Arts in Boston, before making the decision to attend the University of Massachusetts Dartmouth, where he received his BFA in Painting. He also earned a full-scholarship to the University of Miami, where he received his MFA in painting. Retired from a 40+ year career in Marketing, Ron continues to paint and exhibits internationally – an American artist living in Portugal.
