About
I am a Visual Artist with Painting as my specialisation.
I like to experiment with different supports and mediums and break the set rules. I traverse the artistic domain with themes & concepts which majorly revolve around the world around us and the one within me, each one unleashing creativity in my work.
My works reveal a contradiction - contradiction with nature and with materialism, which has enveloped human lives today. I choose colours carefully, so that they unearth as much meaning as the forms. The greys majorly depict the materialistic approach, whereas the other colours chronicle the nature.
I wish to incorporate landscapes and cityscapes with different forms of life in my paintings. I believe that art transforms people, their environments and communities, and that I can be a social participant in the world by perhaps to enable a positive change.
I have a pet dog, who has become a great inspiration for my works, and I feel that dogs need attention since they are not only found strayed on Indian streets but also face brutality of humans.
