About
I was born in Rome, Italy where I lived and studied Graphic Design until I moved to London in 1992.
London was the place for me to become a Tattoo Artist. I would spend the next 25 years creating and tattooing original designs for clients from all walks of life.
I have now relocated to Thailand where I live with my husband and two sons and where I took up painting full time.
I have always loved art in all its forms, and although I sometimes do graphic work, my true love has quickly become fine art and painting.
I enjoy mixing and painting in oil with powder pigments from Italy.
As my new passion is still exploring its form, I have enjoyed painting from photographs of marine life last year to practice my skills sets.
This year I’m exploring the feminine subconscious and I will produce a series of paintings that reflects this in a fantasy like world.
I want to express fears, joy, doubts, illusions and fantasies of the modern female mind.
I also want to address the deep issues of environmental pollution and the sad loss of our fauna as I believe that the female aura is deeply connected to mother earth.
My paintings aim to be as much political as beautiful.
I would describe my paintings as in between the fantasy/pop surreal/realism styles with a bit of all thrown in the mix.
My inspiration comes from the varied and vibrant flora and fauna life around me, my tattooing and graphic background and of course from all the art that I was able to absorb while I was living in Italy.
Taking up painting full time has been a long felt project and I'm thrilled to be doing it.
