About

PACO SERRANO Abstract Expressionism Attended Chouinard Art School in Los Angeles, CA. USA. Gradually, he eschewed his naturalistic imagery, on an effort to free himself from his academic training. He embarked on an inward journey, into a world that is hidden from most people. His paintings now glow cheerfully with a promise of intimacy and minimalistic detail. These illusions mimic the aliveness of brush-toil and atmospheric depth but, at nose-length, as swipes of a stick and fingertip, they morph into wobbles filled with character that seem to vibrate through the canvas. Some are near-perfect in their slickness — others show the building progression of a drawing. Despite of his modern minimalistic expression, unveiled are the marks of a master draftsman and composition builder. His art stretches turgid minds. It speaks of the outrageous potential of human imagination to be able to create something where there was nothing. His paintings now hang on the walls of art collectors all over the world.
