Marilena Zolota born in Pyrgos Ilias Greece in 1967.
From 1987 to 1992 she studied at the Athens School of Fine Arts, with the teacher Kessanlis Nikos at painting, Thanasis Exarchopoulos at engraving and Vassilis Vassiliadis in stage design.
From 1990 to 1992 she worked in television productions as an assistant stage designer with Tasos Zografos.
She lives at Lepanto, where in collaboration with the cabinetmaker Dimitris Palios have made the workshop of creation of wooden constructions, Artopos. Wooden useful structures and furniture turn into painted surfaces, bringing the painting closer to our daily lives.
At the same time she teaches painting and drawing for the entrance exams to the School of Fine Arts and Architecture, as well as in some public schools , where she works as a teacher of fine art.
She has been involved in artistic photography and in the past has held four photography seminars at Lepanto.
She has 4 solo exhibitions and 12 group exhibitions.
