About

I have a deep love for Art and its individuality. I also acknowledge a resounding belief of the 'truth' in Art. Through my medium I live what I feel to be true about myself and my subject matter and express it through painting, drawing, sculpture and photography. My Paintings, drawings and Illustrations are mostly driven by colour and form, often strongly influenced by Australia's great 'New Romantic' artists, poets, musicians and a wonderous ever changing landscape and its colours. My style adapts through influence and what it is I want to achieve. I'm fortunate to have many varying interests that build the foundations for references and topics which I use for each piece of work . I like to dabble in realism though overall my work is based upon a contemporary expressionist style, darkness and light in Australian Art. I believe in a degree of spontaneity within each piece of work that I create which occasionally requests your immediate attention, through colour or subject. I want to create work where your eyes dance within the composition, other times, I love to create symbolism driven by an idea. My goal is exhibit regularly group or solo, locally and internationally and be challenged by ideas and problem solving within the art world. My mind is alive and bubbling with creativity and has been my whole life. To deliver an idea and have it realised, this process is what I love.
