After a full life as engineer and marketing manager, I started a new one with art and sculpture. Former student of the sculptor Christophe Charbonnel, I discovered the anatomy, the fillings and voids, the lights and shadows that can be created in matter.
I work in a figurative approach, trying to give life to my subjects, always leaving a large part to imagination and emotion.
My subjects of inspirations arise from the emotion encountered which I try to transmit: the man or the animal, in motion or in the abandonment of intimacy, the woman or the meeting of a couple.... The balance, this paradoxical state between two fragile moments, fascinates me. Dusts of unique and intense time, a transition between two fractions of fixed seconds, the duality of moment and space, there is a challenge and joy in the search for life in movement in the face of the weight and fixity of things.
The perfection of a polished surface moves me as much as rough matter. Everything is a question of emotion felt and to infuse into the final work for the viewer.________________________________________________Après une carrière bien remplie d'ingénieur et de directeur marketing, j'ai commencé une nouvelle vie avec la sculpture. Ancien élève du sculpteur Christophe Charbonnel, j'ai ainsi découvert l'anatomie, les pleins et les vides, les lumières et les ombres que l'on peut créer dans la matière.
Je travaille dans une démarche figurative, en essayant de donner vie à mes sujets, en laissant toujours une large part à mon imaginaire et à l'émotion.
Mes sujets d’inspirations naissent de l'émotion rencontrée et que j'essaie de transmettre : l'homme ou l’animal, en mouvement ou dans l’abandon de l'intimité, la femme ou la rencontre d'un couple...
L’équilibre, cet état paradoxal entre deux instants fragiles, me fascine. Poussières de temps uniques et intenses, transition entre deux fractions de secondes fixes, dualité de l’instant et de l’espace, il y a dans la recherche de la vie en mouvement un défi et de la joie, face à la pesanteur de la matière et à la fixité des choses.
La perfection d’une surface polie m’émeut tout autant que la matière rugueuse. Tout est affaire d’émotion ressentie et à insuffler dans l'oeuvre finale pour le spectateur.
