I follow a consistent philosophy in my approach to art, one distinct study of art, the relationship between space and tangible objects. I work in traditional environments and in three-dimensional spaces which exhibit a certain consistency in terms of volume and spatial characteristics. This allows me to substantially purge the final result thus establishing a first order primacy of form. My works represents a synthesis and compilation of ideas, elements and techniques harmoniously integrated in a total composite. I employ a unique layering technique, the white color and fabric media. The fabrics include wood used in various stages of transformation – natural stages, bark and burnt-wood, textiles, fur, canvas and metal – perforated, rough, worked or polished, thus providing a variety of textures and modalities. Artistic elements that were created in two-dimensional space are transformed, completed and are completely free standing. In my creations, I strive to maintain a constructive approach as well as an expressive balance between the two opposing forces and thereby produce a final result that is not only harmonious but also pleasing to aesthetic sensitivities of a most discriminating nature. In my present approach the form establishes itself as the dominant factor in the spatial dialogue in which the physical object depicted can be received by the senses.
