This new art form style is known as "Colorist Art" which uses "liquefied oil" paints with the intent to remove all brush strokes. The liquefied oil paint, when drying, allows the brush stroke markings to settle into the painting and the brilliance additive to rise to the surface. This produces a very hard and reflective flat surface with the intent that the viewer receives all of the refracted light. This is not the case where the light is diffused in all directions by the imprints of the dried brush strokes.
The simplicity of nature has always given me an inner sense of wellness and cheerfulness and this is what I aspire to transmit to others. This singular connection with the environment now generates my passion to create “colorist art” that amazes and astounds my viewers and brings to them a fleeting, and sometimes lasting, moment of joy and happiness. As a “Colorist artist” I focus on painting with the sole intent to communicate an emotional moment through vibrant colors and the exploitation of light. For me the treatment of light and the use of vivid and brilliant colors is the “true subject matter” of all my art work, everything else is immaterial. All my unique painting techniques collaborate together to communicate to the observer an awe-inspiring instant in time. My special paint mixtures are designed to maximize light refraction; the use of multiple lines to create three dimensional space perspective and the unusual manipulation of rich hues all work together as one to create a painting that vibrates with emotion. My reward is when someone is examining one of my paintings and I see how they are slowly and unwillingly being drawn into it. Once captivated by the painting, I see how they are unconsciously reaching inward and are reacting emotionally to the displays of light, color and space. It is during this time that I know that they are identifying with my emotions and are touching their own innermost self.
