Big size figurative sculpture composed of the main elements: a lime mortar head, acrylic glass elements and a metal structure. The main focus of the sculpture is the relation between the head/fisher and the glass/dreams serving the structure not only to support the other two elements but to conduct the viewer look to that point. Inspired on the work of franco-belgian and south american cartoon authors, this piece belongs to a series that tries to bring to sculpture the idea that "one image equals 1000 words". By choosing the human nature as subject matter, the identification is immediate but still open to a infinite possibilities of interpretation, depending on the viewer. This is brought to focus by the choice of modeling just the vital elements to depict a emotion - eyes, nose and mouth - the rest would just be noise.
Sandra Borges is born in 1979 in Lisbon. She finishes the course of Sculpture in the College of Beaux Arts of Lisbon in 2006 and her professional period of training in February 2009 with the International Center of Sculpture – Odrinhas, Sintra. In 2010/2011 she participated in a artistic residence with the Les Lapididales association to make a in situ sculpture in the Charbossières quarry. Since the end of 2012 she assists several sculptors like Georg Scheele, Diogo Rosa, Auli Korhonen and Moisés Preto Paulo. She inhabits currently in Praia das Maçãs, Sintra.
