I generally use two techniques in my textile art: free motion machine embroidery and fibre embedment using scribble stitch. I paint using little snippets of dress material and draw with different coloured sewing threads. This piece depicts a family of Egyptian Gees, I happened upon on a very hot day. The goslings were sleeping in a puddle of shade with the two parents standing guard and upon my arrival, they all got up stretched and waddled off into the dam.
