In this symbol-laden acrylic work, a woman in black stands beneath an endless turquoise sky, her face hidden beneath a wide straw hat. Her stillness and inward posture suggest she is part of an unseen ritual.
Beside her, on the dark trunk of a tree, a black cat with piercing yellow eyes sits like the central figure of this silent ceremony. Its gaze is direct, commanding, almost priestly. The empty landscape in beige and cool blue turns the scene into an open-air sanctuary. Black speaks of mystery and depth, while the yellow in the cat’s eyes becomes the inner flame around which the entire composition revolves. Here, woman and cat are not merely sharing space — they are bound in a shared rite: she, the devotee; he, the object of reverence and keeper of hidden knowledge. Dutch acrylic paints and Italian canvas by Unico were used. The finish is satin varnish. It is carefully packed in a cardboard box with layers of bubble wrap. Signed and accompanied by a certificate of authenticity.
