In this evocative piece, I blend acrylic and oil to capture an intimate moment, rich with layered emotions. The figure, poised yet wistful, stands enveloped by the depth of the dark room, contrasting with the vibrant red of her dress—a symbol of the passions that color our existence. The feline companions evoke a mysterious charm, anchoring the scene in silent conversation. This painting pulses with life, ready to imbue your space with an aura of contemplative beauty, stirring the soul with its silent storytelling. For texture on the primed canvas before painting, a layer of textured paste with small glass particles is applied and then sanded with sandpaper for smoothness. Dutch acrylic paints Amsterdam and Italian fine-grained cotton canvas tm Unico were used in the work. Finish – satin varnish. The ends are painted in the background color. Additional framing is not required. I called this series “Life in Avatar”. Created on and shipped on a pre-stretched canvas on a wooden frame.
