A woman and her cat — the image of comfort. Yet beneath the surface lies the price of that comfort. She cannot leave, cannot collapse, cannot be reckless. The cat demands structure, food, affection, and presence. She dreams of foreign places, of letting go. But she is held in place by soft fur and round golden eyes — a sweet, subtle obligation. This painting captures the bittersweet irony of caretaking love: the one thing you cherish is the reason you stay still.
Dutch acrylic paints Amsterdam tm and Italian fine-grained canvas by Unico were used. The finish is satin varnish, and the edges are painted in the background color. This painting is created on a pre-stretched canvas on a wooden frame. It is carefully packed in a cardboard box with layers of bubble wrap. The artwork is signed and accompanied by a certificate of authenticity.
