It’s hot; we’re sitting in a cafe, drinking Coke with ice. My husband says, “Right now, somewhere in the field, amidst the expanse, inhaling the scent of heated grass…” I respond, “Yeah, chasing butterflies, stepping on a mine…” If only there were a way to experience both, to feel and smell there, and then here. Dutch acrylic paints Amsterdam and Italian fine-grained cotton canvas tm Unico were used in the work. Finish - satin varnish. The ends are painted in the background color. Additional framing is not required. I called this series "Life in Avatar". Created on and shipped on a pre-stretched canvas on a wooden frame. Painting is packed carefully in cardboard box with layers of bubble wrap to protect it.
