The year when Fiji experienced one of the worst hit by tropical cyclone. Lives, homes livestock were destroyed during the most heartbreaking memory. This is one experience never to be forgotten in the years to come. I capture the true scenery of that devastation. A boy who lost everything (his family and his home). "Survived alone" was not what he expected and would be different trying to mend his life and move on alone.
Profile Picture: During one Art Exhibition where I sold 6 of my eight paintings including this young boy all painted to show his sorrowfulness in moaning of the passing of his mum. This culture is still practised in the highlands of Papua New Guinea today. I am from Papua New Guinea married (Fijian) with 3 children living in Fiji. I am 50 years old, a Graphic Designer by trade and love painting too. All of my paintings have been sold and so I am beginning to paint more this year 2018.
