Mon Odalisque

Presentation : " A restless consciousness " What characterizes Dominique Laude's paint, it is at first the obsessional presence of the body. Deformed body, body support, place of the confrontation of love and death. Tense, declined, tortured bodies. Quartered, unstructured, contorted body, abandoned, lost in the space, in edges of the metamorphosis. The drawing draws its inspiration from the expressionism and the great classics, in their immoderation. Immoderation in the way of upsetting the natural forms, of limiting colors to the nuances of red, ochre, black and white, of deforming faces in a kind of painful frenzy, abolishes any rule, substitutes the hallucination for the sensitive perception. The instinctive revolt of the body for the reason regulator. The body becomes protean, set of fragments kneadable as some clay but also fowl that ashes her. Body-support in which the elements are in confrontation and tear to pieces, reflection of an inhalation to recreate the natural laws according to the laws of the imagination. The creative act is then similar to a fearless attempt to tear away the body from the chaos, from the abyss of "the informal", from the chaos of the humanity.
