Winter time and leaves are fallen, so I can see far through the birch trees for miles to the East, where the city of Moscow is lying. The city is just 10 miles away, the developers are lusting to take this land and build their ugly sky high beton boxes, so the dreamfull view is about to be ended. But spring is comming, you can see it by the warm colors of the bushes in the field and snow melting under first warm sunlight, the trees will be green again and cover everythig ugly for half of the year and when they fall down, we will see what is there behind...
I was born and live in Moscow and I love this city. This is the reason Moscow is often the main subject in my works. My passion is the texture, so I experiment a lot with surface using materials like newspaper and texture paste. I am in constant search of beauty sparks in routine, trying to show the magic and play of light in common subjects, such as city streets or still life objects. I travel a lot, make sketches and painting. My observation is that locals may find many fresh notes after these works, this brings back the taste and beauty to common subjects they used to see every day. I consider the goal of my work to be the search of the means to depict the taste of the time flow and emotions that we get from life experience.
