Artwork 5 ‘legacy’ Installation (180x100x25cm) Mixed media The artwork legacy is based on the actual growth, technology and resources demand. The fauna and flora being affected and some nearly extinct!! With deforestation, reduction of natural resources, war, fossil fuel, buildings and pollution, the question set is…. what are we going to leave to the future generation?? In what condition will our planet be in a near future ….!!? About the artwork The installation depicts a small girl representing fragility and also a symbolic of the earth. The installation is done using scrap wood panel which can be rotated by the viewer. This rotation is a reference to the rotation of the earth and the rotation of generation. When the artwork is twisted another portrait can be seen as a reference to the hidden face of development, overconsumption, pollution , war ,etc.. Techniques Mixed media on canvas, wooden palette and plywood. Typography is also included using crackle effect modelling paste. Crystal clear acrylic resin and paper collage inclusion of a blue led light in reference to the blue planet known as the earth.
