A Promise That Never Fades In 1982, when I was only 14 years old, Hendrik Bester prayed for me and gave me a promise from God’s Word: “And the LORD shall guide thee continually, and satisfy thy soul in drought, and make fat thy bones: and thou shalt be like a watered garden, and like a spring of water, whose waters fail not.” Isaiah 58:11 (KJV) Now, in 2026, at the age of 59, I look back with a thankful heart. Through every season of my life, God has guided me, carried me, and never forgotten me. I am blessed with a wonderful husband, Sydney, who walks this journey of life beside me, and with my three precious daughters who fill my heart with love and joy. I can see God’s hand in my life’s journey — through the beautiful moments and also through the difficult seasons. I am truly blessed. My name is Caroline A life held by grace, a heart filled with faith, and a promise that still lives today.
Caroline Heydenrych Contemporary South African Artist | Watercolour, Ink & Mixed Media Caroline Heydenrych is a contemporary South African artist based in the beautiful village of Barrydale, Western Cape. Her artwork reflects the quiet poetry of everyday life — capturing moments of emotion, memory, hope and human connection. Working primarily with watercolour, ink and mixed media, Caroline creates expressive portraits, landscapes and figurative works that tell stories beyond the surface. Her paintings explore themes of resilience, faith, healing and the beauty found in ordinary moments. Inspired by the people and landscapes of South Africa, as well as the masters who understood the power of light and emotion, Caroline’s work carries a gentle dialogue between colour, feeling and storytelling. Her artistic journey has been shaped by a lifelong passion for creativity and a belief that art can bring comfort, encouragement and inspiration. Through her collection “Healing in Colours”, Caroline celebrates the strength, courage and inner beauty of women, inviting viewers to connect with their own stories. Each original artwork is created with care and carries a unique message — a small piece of hope, emotion and beauty to bring into a home. “A Caroline Heydenrych in every home.”
