A Promise That Never Fades In 1982, when I was only 14 years old, Hendrik Bester prayed for me and gave me a promise from God’s Word: “And the LORD shall guide thee continually, and satisfy thy soul in drought, and make fat thy bones: and thou shalt be like a watered garden, and like a spring of water, whose waters fail not.” Isaiah 58:11 (KJV) Now, in 2026, at the age of 59, I look back with a thankful heart. Through every season of my life, God has guided me, carried me, and never forgotten me. I am blessed with a wonderful husband, Sydney, who walks this journey of life beside me, and with my three precious daughters who fill my heart with love and joy. I can see God’s hand in my life’s journey — through the beautiful moments and also through the difficult seasons. I am truly blessed.
