Emotion inspires my art and it's the driving force behind my creative process and playful experimentation. Painting encourages me to let go, channel my emotions onto canvas and push my boundaries. Painting is my form of meditation. It allows me sit with my emotions and explore them.
Inspiration comes from everywhere. From a person's window to the soul, a car's personality, Jazz, the soul of a city, the vibrancy of the sun in the tropics, or current events.
I am a self taught British painter (in Florida) and am known for the 100 Faces Project. In Switzerland I was also a freelance art journalist for World Radio Switzerland and I've been a keynote speaker on creativity at The Aspen Institute, Colorado and TEDxZurichWomen, Switzerland.
I'm passionate about art. In particular, the creative process itself. The process of exploring vulnerability. Getting comfortable with the uncomfortable. Letting go of preconceived ideas and opening up a two-way dialogue with the process. Overcoming fears and doubts and trusting the process (and oneself). Finally, its about a never ending journey of self exploration that leads me to continuously evolve and push boundaries.
In 2011, I quit my corporate job to follow my dream. This was the birth of Collaborative Art™. A series of creative team building workshops that inspire creativity and collaboration. By fusing my background in Human Resources with my experience as an artist and facilitator, I designed art challenges that empower participants to create meaningful shared visions, relating to their business, in the style of a famous artist. The art-making process provides an engaging and interactive platform that aligns teams around a common goal, develops team pride and triggers team insights in a fun and creative way.
