Nastasha Minyon Sale

My name is Nastasha I am an illustrator. Born and raised in Cape Town, South Africa, I have an innate intrigue for indigenous flora and fauna. I feel my work captures the whimsical finer details of my subjects. I have been travelling the world for the last 6 years drawing inspiration from each place; my work reflects a variation of cultural influences. I have had the privilege of exhibiting in England, Israel, and Russia and of course in my hometown Cape Town. I am primarily an illustrator; I work mainly in black ink and describe my work as very fine. I am a trained textile designer, specialising in illustrated silkscreen prints. I also do graphic design. Besides drawing I have worked in various different mediums including, mosaic, paint and embroidery. Having recently moved back to South Africa I have dived head first into Cape Town’s ever growing and dynamic art scene. Finding myself reconnecting to my roots with a curious sensitivity. Last year, I was featured by House and leisure, as a rising star.
