___________________________________________________________________________ Gisèle Vivier, painter, is a native of Saint-Jean-sur-Richelieu. She has been living in Mont-Saint-Pierre since 2008. From her childhood, she dreamed of painting paintings in her studio. As a teenager, she was constantly drawing on scraps of paper, especially portraits of animals. It was only at the age of 20 that she took her first classes in painting. At that time, she painted oil landscapes. Graduated in 1989 from a Bachelor of Fine Arts at the University of Quebec in Montreal, she has experimented with different mediums such as: photography, engraving, modeling and mixed processes. However, his heart beats only for painting. She realized that color was essential in her life. She has been painting for about forty years without, however, broadcasting her art to the general public. In 2005, she devoted herself to realistic animal painting. From 2007, she participated in several collective exhibitions and symposiums: Laval, Prévost, Montreal, Rosemère, Saint-Félix-de-Valois, Blainville, Sainte-Dorothée-Laval, Saint-Colomban, Saint-Jérôme. Two of his animal paintings were part of the collective exhibition of artists in visual art of Quebec at the Saint-Benoit Chapel in Argenton-sur-Creuse located in France, organized by The Circle of Painters and Sculptors of Quebec (CAPSQ ). Without neglecting animal painting whose sense of detail and attention to detail are still important to her, interest in abstract painting has been evident in 2017. She is fascinated by colors and likes to play with contrasts. His approach is intuitive, without constraint and allows him creative freedom. She paints only with acrylic that I apply to the knife to paint. She uses the primary, secondary and tertiary colors that she applies to the canvas in thick layers without mixing too much. Each color has an energy of its own, whether positive or negative. This duality is found in everything and in each of us. In the exploration of color and abstract, she seeks to bring out the positive side and thus bring a positive and new energy to the person who looks at his paintings. His works are intuitive, original and unique creations expressing his emotions through every gesture and every color. She arranges the colors in a perfect way.
