À propos

I am a Russian born, Southern Calfornia based artist. My artistic perception is grounded in classical drawing, street art, and collage, whereas my aesthetics reflect a profound interest in constructivism and suprematism. I use the textural richness of paper and simple lines to create abstract installations that offer observers a chance to experience an unconventional side of the the surrounding world. Through my studies of human nature, I have been inspired to create a series of large-scale projects demonstrating how common materials and familiar objects can alter viewers' inner perception of the universe. These include a personal exhibition "Underwater" in Barcelona, a paper-and-light installation "Totality of Existence" in Budapest, a paper-and-light installation "Close Proximity" at the Castle of Evoramonte in Portugal, and, in collaboration with calligraphs, motion designers, and video-mapping artists, 3D multi-media installations the "Noise" and the "Wave" in Russia, as well as a wide variety of commercial projects. In my everyday life, I'm a producer and a project manager, with graphic design experience. I combine my artistic vision with professional project-management skills to create design projects for global market leaders, such as IKEA, Leo Burnett, Design Depot, and KidZania. I strongly believe in design as an awesome power that brings positive changes to the world and to human lives. So I dedicate a lot of my time to introducing children and teens to art and street culture. I founded the first non-profit kite festival in Russia called "Open Sky" which promotes kiting as a fun and eco-friendly family activity. In collaboration with other artists, I created the annual festival of city culture for teens 'WillyWilly." I am also the CEO of Visual Arts Studio, where together with a team of professional artists I teach teens to create art by learning to harness their own creative forces.
