Anna Rita Centura was born in Orvieto-Italy. Anna begins to draw and paint since the early age. She attended the Art Institute in Orvieto, in graphic arts, advertising and photography. After finished her studies, she worked for advertising agencies, then started with her professional fine art career focused on drawing and painting as self taught artist. She has always had a great interest in figurative art, that also includes her passion for wildlife. All that, led her to develop an accurate and personal style very realistic, full of imagination and symbolism at the same time. Also, she is author of exclusive black/white and color on commission portraits for qualified clients.
Her drawings/paintings are in some worldwide private collections. She works and receives in her own atelier Orvieto-Italy.
Anna, creates her drawings or paintings taking inspiration from the masterpieces of Old Master painters, but giving them a strong contemporary presence, too. Looking at her works, with a careful observation, we can not ignore the sense of aesthetic and imagination, mystery and symbolism, poetry and memory that wafting by her works. She says: “The reason they appear as they are, is that, I like permeate each subject with the spirit of the contemplative life, because every little living soul is a part of an “Eternal Whole”. Absolutely primary for me, is that my creatures tell a story about the figure’s presence and the self essence, taking the shape from light and shadows, vibrant emotion of a timeless moment”.
