Aleksandra Velemir Despotovic

I am a self-taught painter, born in Zrenjanin in 1967. My first standalone exhibition was in 1997. In Zrenjanin, after which I regularly participated on various local exhibitions in Serbia, as well as abroad, both of national and international character. My paintings were awarded a number of times. My paintings are distributed throughout the world, with private collectors from Serbia, Slovenia, Croatia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Montenegro, Macedonia, Romania, Netherlands, Switzerland, Italy, Hungary, Belgium, France, Japan, Greece, Germany, England, Russia, Canada, United States of America and Australia… My preferred motifs are landscape, still life, science fiction, street scenes, nudes, etc. I use a variety of techniques, most commonly acrylic and oil. I regard myself as a painter of light, who always tries to fit into my own life and the nature that surrounds it. I live and work in Zrenjanin.
