Feathered is from my female portraiture series call Patterns that celebrates the complexities of the female ethos from her magma to her ethereal. Each work is mixed media with underlays of ink and overlays of acrylic and iridescent paint, brushed and ragged on.
Meg is an artist with a great love of portraiture and works digitally and with mixed media on canvas. As well, Meg is a creative writing prof at Fanshawe College (London, Ontario) and owner of Gypsy Cob Studio, a filming company that has completed its first feature film, The Gold Fish Bowl. In pre-production are Dinner For One, Mozart and Honest People. Meg embraces her diverse genealogy – a Scottish-Canadian dad and a Croatian-American mom. A rich and colourful combo that anchored her in both Western and European cultures. Meg has lived in three provinces, on two continents and by the hemlines of the Aegean, the Mediterranean, the Atlantic, the St. Lawrence, and the Great Lakes. As a novelist, currently in publication by Solstice Publishing is her novel, Are But Shadows (Amazon).
