This is a contemplated abstract, surreal mixed media painting depicting a voyage into the unknown. Materials include acrylic, mixed media paints, metallic / iridescent pigments and palette knife textures on stretched gallery canvas. 70 X 50 X 1.5 cm - 27.5 X 19.5 X .5 In. The metallic and iridescent pigments create a life giving change of view with light conditions which are very difficult to capture in photography. The video slide show is created to provide a better idea of the changing appearance created by light. Room view images are for illustration. I use the best artist grade materials from trusted sources to assure quality protection and durability. The sides are painted and equipped with all necessary hardware to facilitate immediate hanging, without the need for special framing. The painting is shipped insured with a tracking number, securely insulated and packaged to accommodate conventional shipping conditions. The original signed Certificate of Authenticity accompanies the shipment. Questions are welcome.
Following advanced studies in design, my art career began as an understudy, twenty two years ago, leading to about seven years of custom freelance work. I consider myself to be self taught upon the opening of my studio in Texas, thirteen years ago. In efforts to establish “my style”, I began experimenting with modern, contemporary materials, learning that each could be adapted to create unique works of art, which led to experimentation with diverse subjects, satisfying my long anticipated dreams. This experimentation continues today, creating new ideas, techniques, styles and diversity. I have participated in over thirty eight curated solo, group and guild exhibitions in nine countries, on three continents. My work has appeared in international art books and publications.
