The view from my studio here in the high country of a winter sunrise over the distant mountains. The sky was filled with so many pastel colors that I used my palette knife to capture it as the light and color was rapidly changing. I have double matted it to 5x5 inches and am offering unframed. My venue is miniature paintings for your home and office. My new paintings reflect the changes to my art subjects. I've wanted to breakout of my safe mode and express the impressions of the color and movement and simplicity the beauty of the land and seascapes that bring me pleasure. Now in my later years I feel the urgency to push myself and throw the box away and live outside of it. My love of Maui with it's beauty and once you experience Island Time you will understand that retirement allows you to busy yourself with experience life on Island time.
