Several years ago we discovered Maui and completely fell in love with it's people and Island time. We have returned many times and are returning again this autumn. Every visit we stay longer and I paint and sketch while there, usually my paintings are more abstract and contemporary as my soul just sings while I'm there. This painting is from one of my morning walks in Lahaina a quaint town on the west side of the island.
My venue is miniature paintings for your home and office. My new paintings reflect the changes to my art subjects. I've wanted to breakout of my safe mode and express the impressions of the color and movement and simplicity the beauty of the land and seascapes that bring me pleasure. Now in my later years I feel the urgency to push myself and throw the box away and live outside of it. My love of Maui with it's beauty and once you experience Island Time you will understand that retirement allows you to busy yourself with experience life on Island time.
