                                Synopsis
The Earth is an enormous place. There is so much that we don’t yet know about what happens on the surface of the Earth, so how could we possibly know about what happens deep down below the Earth’s surface? …
Thus, I have decided to explore this given theme towards the idea of what is happening below our feet. Through my research and as a physics science passionate, what is happening deep down the core is fusion.
Fusion is the process which powers the sun and the stars. It is energy that makes all life on earth possible. It is called 'fusion' because the energy is produced by fusing together light atoms, such as hydrogen, or more simple fusion of the earth leading to lava.
The greatest increase in demand for energy is envisaged to come from developing countries where, with rapid urbanisation, large-scale electricity generation will be required. With environmental requirements for zero or low CO2 emission sources and the need to invest in a sustainable energy mix, new energy sources must be developed.
Fusion will be available as a future energy option by the middle of this century, and should be able to acquire a significant role in providing a sustainable, secure and safe solution to tackle global energy needs.
About artwork
The final artwork is based on this concept of fusion like lava and the intensity of warm colour as a significant of fusion. Dots of paint will be representing the atoms (gas) fusing together to form (liquid). Liquid will be represented by my experimentation with varnish.
Plexiglas is used as a symbolic to make transparent that is usually not visible to human being. Colour selected will be a warm colours scheme.
The composition is full of lines and rhythm along with rounded shapes, to demonstrate forces behind the forms.
According the philosophy of fusion, the material used will be a very good demonstration of the latter, fusion of enamel paint along with spray paint, all fused together by the different varnish on Plexiglas.
