“Unknown Land” is series of works that seek to surface what is long ago deserted yet still in existence within me. The series is an attempt to echo glimpses of spatial and intuitive bounds and (re)explore the personal topos. “Unknown Land” is a visit to a known land for no place is unknown; just retired and sheltered. 2017 / Enamel and Charcoal on canvas, 100x120cm
Art, for me, is a psychic protolanguage. Abstract expressionism, minimalism, and gestural abstraction are the styles predominantly defining my art. I feel that all things in life are interwoven and one seeks to comprehend the correlation, the cohesion and/ or the dichotomies between the elements around and inside us. Abstraction in my artworks allows me an intuitive glimpse to the within and an extempore exploration on the recurring theme of Being.
