Gossips

In this painting, I portray a sacred gathering where devotees engage in conversation with the Kuldevi, seeking guidance, blessings, and spiritual reassurance. Seated among three human figures, the Goddess becomes a living presence that connects the visible and invisible realms. Through geometric forms, layered textures, and cut-and-paste techniques on canvas, the work draws from folk traditions while embracing a contemporary visual language. The crescent moon on the Devi's forehead and the red alta on the hands appear as recurring symbols of Shakti, devotion, and ritual identity. The painting reflects a shared moment of faith, dialogue, and collective remembrance within the community.
