About
Clara Vézina lives and works in Montréal, in a former textile factory in Saint-Henri. Her large gestural paintings are held in private and corporate collections. She mixes her paint every morning, in buckets, and starts every canvas on the floor. Three colours only: Prussian blue, ochre and black. The white is the canvas left to breathe.
Artist statement
I paint standing up, with my whole body. Three-metre canvases where blue fights with light.
