Born on January 25th 1990, Priscilla Charbonneau is an emerging self-taught artist from Gatineau, Canada. She holds a bachelor’s degree in psychology and is passionate about emotions, their complexity and their sometimes soothing and sometimes terrifying dimensions.
She is most captivated by textures, reliefs and relfections. She attempts to create textures with acrylic paint using different specific techniques. Copper ash, water, glass beads and sand are but a few of the artistic media she combines with acrylic paint to create vibrant, dynamic and complex effects. Luminosity and shadows also play a major part in the creation of her works. They allow her to metaphorically convey the mystery of emotions of different depths and bring to life what is left unsaid.
